Matir Sur discovers unknown singers, musicians, dancers, jatra actors and folk painters from across the country — curates them, promotes them, and connects them to stages that truly care for rural Bengal's living culture.

Across our country live thousands of singers, dhol players, jatra actors and patuas whose art has never left their para — not for lack of talent, but for lack of a door. Matir Sur ("the melody of the soil") is that door: a non-profit organisation that discovers such artists, reviews their work with care, and places them on stages, festivals and celebrations that honour rural Bengal's culture.
- Administrator-curated. Every submission is heard and watched by our platform administrator before an artist is promoted — quality with dignity.
- A portfolio of their own. Each approved artist receives a dedicated page with bio, audio, video, social handles and a booking form.
- Fair & transparent bookings. Viewers send booking requests; our desk coordinates dates, travel and honourarium directly with the artist.
- Free for artists, forever. No fees to join. Culture is not a commodity; it is a commons.

Fill the join form with your details, an audio sample (max 5 MB), a video sample (max 5 MB) and a YouTube link of your performance.
Your work reaches our platform administrator, who listens and watches carefully — usually within 7 days.
If selected, we promote you across our network of melas, clubs and cultural committees.
